I understand Paul Martin's frustration with Jack Layton. I also understand why Layton is going after left-wing voters and not moderate ones. Someone who is taking Stephen Harper seriously and deciding between the Conservatives and the Liberals is not going to see voting NDP as a viable alternative to voting Liberal.
That said, if the Conservatives score a majority, which I think they will, and the same-sex-marriage debate is reopened and then the economy starts going down the crapper, I'm laying the blame on everyone's heads: Layton for splitting the left vote, Martin for running a craptastic campaign, Harper for being Harper, and Duceppe for tilting at windmills.
