Some Consolation

Everyone in the academy whom I've told about my decision not to go on in academia is intially surprised. Then they curse geography and the Bush administration. Ah, well. This is the fun part, right? The figuring it out. The not knowing. Being the hero of my very own Sorrows.

Well, not Sorrows really.

I don't say very profound things, unless you consider things like, "It's cold out" profound.

I have no intention of committing suicide.

I'm also perky most of the time.

Except that I married the right girl the first time 'round.
