What a gem!
For those of you who don't read Russian: "First and foremost, it must be acknowledged that the demise of the Soviet Union was the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the century."
When I was first in Russia, I witnessed much nostalgia for the Soviet Union, which represented stability and relative equality, but I never thought that the nostalgia would become institutionalized and that a former KGB agent would be that nostalgia's embodiment.
