Minou, the neighbor's cat, is currently sitting on the edge of the bed, staring at the closed door. She briefly went on a rampage, which was exciting because I thought that she might finally kill the frickin' mouse she dragged in here a couple of days ago, but no, she jumped up onto the kitchen windowsill, knocked over a potted plant, and proceeded to hiss at a different neighbor's cat through the window. So in retribution I've put her food outside for the other neighbor's cat, which is quite cute and which we have a habit of feeding anyway. Unfortunately, cats are like children, logic doesn't work with them. Then again, seeing academia up close and hearing about K.'s work has convinced me that logic doesn't work with most adult. -Zh.
