I Miss Montreal

Ptichka, in her inimitable Ptichka way, made things better with BLTs and salad for dinner and a new CD for dessert: Funeral by The Arcade Fire. "Crown of Love" is amazing. I've had it on repeat for the past hour and a half because I am obsessive about music in that annoying twelve-year-old sort of way. "Neighborhood no. 3" is amazing. As is "Neighborhood no. 1" and "Haiti" and and and the whole frickin' album is amazing. And I see that The Dears have a new album out. Oh, Montreal! The anglo bands all so mopey AND angry. I love it. Like The Clash on downers. Toronto can never compete. Why does it even try? It should stop now.
