Since last month sometime there has been a notice on the front page of the university's webmail site warning us that there are intermittent problems that affect some users. I was never one of those users. Now the notice has changed and IT has taken action to fix the problems. Now most users will not notice any change in service. Of course, I am not one of those users. Now I can't send an e-mail via the university server without being informed that the server is too busy and to try sending my message later. Bah.
