Pushkin

This sounds truly awful. I will probably read it, however. -Zh.

Philly.com requires registration and BugMeNot is not responding. The suspense is killing me. What's this awful thing you're going to read?

It's Alice Randall's new one: Pushkin and the Queen of Spades. Although I'm looking forward to an American take on the Russian poet, all of the positive reviews I've read focus less on Pushkin and more on the mother-son relationship. Call me heartless, but I really don't care about that. I just want to read about a lap dancer named for the epitome of Russian womanhood. Well, womanhood according to Pushkin.
