A new addition to our family

Speaking of KitchenAids (thanks for the segway!) here is a picture, as promised, of the new red monster in its new home (notice it sidling up to the flour like it needs a favour):



I plan to use it this afternoon to make a test batch of wedding cupcakes. I’ll report back on the results.

In other wedding news (what other kind of news is there these days?), we went shopping for wedding outfits on Saturday. Zh. has two pieces, a top and a bottom, that don’t go together, but either of which she’d be happy wearing. So we’ve been looking for a matching top or bottom, with no luck. Saturday, we visited several vintage stores and new clothing stores, and found zilch for her, so more shopping is definitely on the agenda. I, on the other hand, was lucky enough to find something that goes with a cute jacket I bought a few weeks ago. Here’s a sneak peek:
