Someone else has discovered Alden Nowlan. He's one of oh, about two writers, the love for whom Professor Cooke's Intro to Canadian Lit did not manage to kill. The other is Michael Ondaatje, although he's been doing a pretty good job of killing that love all by himself. -Zh.
